Privacy Policy

OpenCrumb helps people discover local food stands and home bakeries, see who's open, and connect with stand owners in their community.

OpenCrumb is operated by Craft Code LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

Effective Date: October 12, 2026
Last Updated: October 12, 2026

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an OpenCrumb account, we collect your first name and email address. We use your email address to create and authenticate your account using one-time email codes and for essential service or account-related communications. We use your first name to personalize your experience.

We also keep a record of your agreement to the OpenCrumb Terms of Use. If you create or manage a stand, we keep a record of your agreement to the Additional Terms for Stand Owners.

Location Information

With your permission, OpenCrumb may use your device's location to show stands near you and provide location-based features. OpenCrumb does not use your device location to maintain a history of your movements. Temporary technical or map caching may occur as part of providing location and map features.

If you are a stand owner, you provide a stand location so customers can find your business. That location may be displayed to customers so they can find and navigate to the stand.

Saved Stands and Notifications

If you use OpenCrumb's Save or Notify Me features, we store the choices and notification preferences necessary to provide those features, along with technical information needed to deliver push notifications to your device.

OpenCrumb does not maintain a history of stands you simply view, search for, tap, or pass near.

Information Provided by Stand Owners

If you create or manage a stand, we collect the details you provide, including:

  • Stand name and location
  • Description or "About" information
  • Photos and "Today's Note"
  • Offering categories and accepted payment methods
  • Social media links and online ordering or preorder links
  • Information related to the stand's open or closed status

We also maintain information necessary to manage a stand owner's subscription and feature access.

OpenCrumb does not require stand owners to submit driver's licenses, Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, banking information, food permits, or similar verification documents.

Subscription and Payment Information

Stand-owner subscriptions are processed through the applicable app store. OpenCrumb receives the information needed to verify and manage subscription access, but we do not directly collect or store your full payment card information.

Reports and Support Communications

If you contact OpenCrumb for support or submit a report about a stand, we collect the information you provide so we can review the issue and respond as needed. We do not use support communications or reports for marketing.

Technical Information

OpenCrumb and our supporting service providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the app. This may include device or app information, authentication and security information, error information, and basic server logs.

OpenCrumb does not use your information for third-party advertising or cross-app behavioral tracking.

How We Use Your Information

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts
  • Provide stand discovery, mapping, and location features
  • Provide Save and Notify Me features

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We use third-party service providers to operate parts of OpenCrumb. These include:

  • Database and Authentication: Supabase
  • Email Delivery: Postmark
  • Subscription Management: RevenueCat
  • App Distribution and Payments: Apple and Google
  • Maps and Geocoding: Stadia Maps

These providers may process information necessary to perform services on OpenCrumb's behalf.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect OpenCrumb, our users, or the service.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide OpenCrumb, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.

Canceling a stand-owner subscription does not automatically delete the stand or the underlying user account.

If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify ordinary personal information associated with that account.

If you created or owned an OpenCrumb stand, we may retain a limited record of your Stand Owner Terms acceptance for up to five years after account deletion. This record may include a former account identifier, the version of the Terms accepted, and the date and time of acceptance. We retain this information only for legal, compliance, and dispute-recordkeeping purposes. It does not preserve or reactivate your OpenCrumb account. We delete the retained identifiable acceptance record when the applicable retention period ends.

If you accepted the Stand Owner Terms but never created or owned a stand, this 5-year retention does not apply, and that acceptance record may be deleted with the account.

Your Choices and Account Deletion

You can manage certain settings directly within OpenCrumb, including your location permissions, saved stands, and notification preferences. You can also delete your account.

If you have questions or requests regarding your personal information, you can contact us at admin@opencrumbapp.com.

Children's Privacy

OpenCrumb is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information against loss, theft, misuse, or unauthorized access. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
